WOODGRAIN

This hand-crafted scarf, woven of straight horizontal and vertical threads, went through many processes in order to obtain this irregular three-dimensional pleated quality. After the fabric was woven, it was stitched, treated, dyed and finally the stitching was released again. The technique is based on the old shibori techniques.

Materials: Cotton, ramie and silk
