The vertical stripes in this classic, elegant scarf are created by different use of weaves and warp set-up. The variation in the warp set-up allows the material to contract and twirl in certain areas and create vertical frizzy stripes contrasted by flat areas in between. The combination of materials gives the scarf a beautiful hand and drape. The scarf is dyed to match my sister's blue eyes.
